When President’s Park closed in 2010, Howard Hankins was called in to removed 43 gigantic busts of U.S. presidents from the themed attraction. Instead of crushing the 20-foot statues, he decided to keep them on his property, hoping to gather enough funds to display them to the public once again. Now Hankins is in a race against time as the cement heads erode before his eyes.
Howard Hankins is on a quest to save the U.S. Presidents. In 2013, he rescued 43 enormous busts from a failed tourist attraction near his Virginia farm. Watching the 20-foot tall statues crumble in his field, Hankins dreams of one day restoring them to their former glory.
