(A Sheriff in Seneca County lost control of his car (many years ago) in the winter time and went off the road. He was unconscious, His dog who was with him, ran for help barking outside houses until someone came out. The dog to gain his attention, ran a certain distance, came back and barked and then ran again. Finally, the man followed the dog and found the Sheriff in a ditch. There are probably hundreds of such stories of animals or pets saving a human life)
